Committed to Our Communities

ThedaCare and Froedtert Health have a commitment to the people of Wisconsin.

Enhancing convenient access to high-quality care supports our missions to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve and furthers our population health vision of becoming proactive partners in health.

Together, we are committed to:

Coordinated local care.

At every step of the health care journey, we will meet patients where they are, with the care they need. Our organizations have long, proud histories of service to our respective communities, and we will honor those legacies as we move forward. The trusted brand names of our existing organizations will continue. Our combined health system will cover every aspect of care, from prevention to treatment of complex diseases. As one system, we will be able to transition patients seamlessly from one level of care to the next, while ensuring they receive the best possible care without having to leave Wisconsin.

Strengthening recruitment and retention of our people.

Our combined system will be attractive to health care providers and caregivers, enhancing our recruitment and retention efforts, to ensure the highest quality and readily accessible care for our valued patients. We will invest in our current and future workforce in ways that can be strengthened beyond what we can do as independent health systems.

  • In line with our collective focus on population health and ensuring complex care can be easily accessed, together we hope to attract and retain more primary care and specialty care providers in employed, affiliated and independent physician practices.
  • By expanding the patient population the combined organization will serve, in partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin we can enhance and expand the care available throughout our communities.

Maintaining local leadership and decision-making.

The presence of local leaders who live in and make decisions for our respective communities will help further the quality of care and support the vibrant future and growth of our communities.

Enhancing clinical quality.

We will maintain consistent, high standards of quality and patient safety throughout the combined organization. Operating as one health system, we will improve coordination and allow patients to experience the best of us no matter where they receive care.

Educating future health care providers.

With the Medical College of Wisconsin on our team, we will have a pipeline of future physicians, researchers, scientists, pharmacists and health professionals to ensure our commitment to Wisconsin continues for generations to come.
